Great to meet you!

I believe that healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. As a fun-loving person who is still a child at heart, I strive to create a welcoming, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where clients of all ages can feel comfortable being themselves. My goal is to meet you where you are, honor your unique experiences, and walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing the effects of trauma, anxiety, and other challenges that impact daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being. I am also passionate about providing affirming and supportive care to members of the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring that every client feels respected, valued, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Additionally, I am proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and am committed to fostering accessible and inclusive care for members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.

My approach combines compassion with evidence-based practices. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused counseling, and the SYMBIS Premarital Assessment. Whether you are seeking support for personal growth, healing from past experiences, strengthening relationships, or managing life's stressors, I am committed to helping you build resilience, discover your strengths, and create meaningful change.

I believe that every person deserves a space where they can feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow. My hope is to help you build on your strengths, overcome obstacles, and move toward a life that feels more connected, balanced, and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

I view life as a journey, and therapy as a meaningful part of that journey, a time when someone chooses to seek support while navigating a challenging stretch of the path. I believe you are the expert on your own life. You know where you have been, you understand your experiences, and you have hopes for where you want to go. My role is not to tell you which direction to take, but to walk alongside you, helping you discover the path that best aligns with your values, strengths, and goals.

Together, we will explore what may be standing in the way of your growth and healing while identifying your unique "path of least resistance", the approach that feels authentic, sustainable, and empowering for you. When obstacles, uncertainty, or resistance arise, I see those moments not as failures, but as opportunities for deeper understanding and growth. During those times, I will provide support, guidance, practical tools, and evidence-based interventions to help you move forward with confidence.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and reconnect with your strengths. Whether you are working through trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or personal growth, my goal is to help you move toward greater wholeness, balance, and fulfillment—one step at a time.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a collaborative and goal-oriented conversation focused on understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. While I believe your personal history is important and provides valuable context, I also believe it should not define or limit your future. My approach is solution-focused, meaning we will spend time identifying the challenges you are currently facing, exploring your strengths, and developing practical strategies to help you move forward.

Together, we will begin setting meaningful goals and breaking them down into manageable, achievable steps. Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition, relationship concerns, anxiety, trauma, or other challenges, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and create a roadmap toward the life you want.

Most importantly, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Therapy is not about dwelling on what is wrong—it's about discovering what is possible and creating lasting change, one step at a time.
