Great to meet you!

My name is Britney Jordan. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in: trauma recovery, substance abuse, anxiety, relational issues, personality disorders, and conflict resolution.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008. In 2014, I obtained a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

I have worked with several populations to include Developmental Disabilities, Children and Adolescents, Adults, Individuals diagnosed with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, and Substance Use disorders.

For over a decade I worked in the public sector providing case management, assessment, and therapy services to individuals with various treatment concerns.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is very eclectic. I have specialized training in trauma recovery and substance use treatment, but enjoy working with various treatment needs.

I believe strongly in the notion that there is no cookie cutter method in achieving positive change. Therefore, I prioritize intentional treatment planning to support clients with meeting their goals. I weave humor, expertise, and empathy into my approach with all clients.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe space to share candid emotions and goals. I challenge clients to set attainable goals of their choice void from the influence of others. Clients will form a professional alliance that supports their mental health care needs through building skills to independently problem solve and effectively manage emotions with care.
