Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Brittani Provost. I was born and raised in Louisiana. After being stationed as a military wife in California with my husband, we landed in Colorado in 2014. We fell in love with the state and have chosen to raise our children in this amazing place.

I earned a Bachelor of Sociology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a Masters in Counseling from Adams State University. Prior to going into private practice, I worked for child protective services with children and adolescents in foster care as well as with parents/guardians. I have also worked as a behavior technician at an autism center and as a school counselor at all grade school levels.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and non-biased space for processing hard emotions. Then, when you feel ready, together we can collaborate to build a plan, and work through possible solutions tailored for you, as what works for one person may not work for someone else. We can work together to find your “new normal”.

I use an eclectic counseling approach rooted in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Reality Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to help individualize the counseling process for each client. I work with adults and adolescents.

What you can expect from me

Life can often take unexpected turns that cause us to feel like we don’t have control. Most people will experience some form of hardship or trauma at some point in their life, and everyone will respond to these experiences differently. So how do we build resilience to take on the challenges that life throws at us? While this will vary with each person, researchers have identified that a support system is one very important factor. Allow me to support you in your journey to care for yourself, beginning with processing through the emotions of any hardships, traumas, challenges, or just anything that may be weighing heavy on your mind.
