Great to meet you!

I specialize in trauma treatment, and use an integrative, evidence-based approach in a safe, supportive environment. I'm trained in EMDR and I'm capable of using it for various presentations of trauma, including those with high levels of dissociative symptoms. I prioritize culturally sensitive care and have expertise in disability and health psychology.

I look forward to hearing from you and introducing you to the therapeutic process.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, I tend to take a collaborative, egalitarian approach to treatment. I am open and nonjudgmental, and I take special time to tailor treatment approaches to fit each individual therapeutic relationship. I practice from a predominately existential-phenomenological framework where individual needs, meaning-making, and pursuit of happiness are emphasized. I also incorporate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems) based techniques, expressive arts intervention, and attachment theory as needed.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to provide an opportunity to explain their concerns, bringing them to treatment. I will provide a warm environment, where the two of us can establish a sense of safety and acceptance. While the first session may be used together details about a client’s symptom and developmental history, I will go at the pace appropriate for each individual.
