Great to meet you!

I have been working in the mental health field for about 14 years. I have worked in inpatient hospital settings, partial hospitalization programs, and in outpatient therapy practices. I have worked with a wide range of people, ages, and issues, and am accepting of all. On a personal level, I am a lover of the outdoors, anything creative, and I could wander the beach or hike the woods for miles on end, never realizing how far I've gone. I laugh at my own jokes, and can even be corny, but know when to be serious. I would go to the ends of the world for people I love and I always put my heart and soul into everything I do, including therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy first and foremost is to find out what a client needs from me. I believe treatment should be individualized. I treat people, not disorders. In addition to this, my approach is empowering, empathetic, and problem solving. If you want to change something, let's change it. If you need someone to understand and affirm how you're feeling, I'm there. I'm here for the hard conversations and will help push you in the direction you want to go.

What you can expect from me

My hope for all clients is for them to leave therapy feeling like something was accomplished that will help them on their journey.
