Great to meet you!

Everyone has a unique story, and I believe that my job as a counselor is to hold your story with care as we work to make sense of it together. I strive to provide a safe and judgment-free space for exploration and growth with each client. I hope to help you understand and explore the good, bad, and confusing parts of your story to move into your next chapter. I approach all my clients from a holistic perspective, considering all parts of your life and your story, and respecting you as the expert of your story. My job is to help you explore your goals, strengths, and areas of concern to move you forward towards your better version of you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and earned Master’s degree from Auburn University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with concerns centered around trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and adjustment to life changes.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As a counselor grounded in humanistic philosophy, I know that each person can better understand themselves and make real and lasting change towards their goals. In therapy it is my goal to partner with you to better understand how you would like to grow and change. Depending on your preferences and concerns, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Person Centered approaches to help you toward your goals.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect in each session to be met with a warm and accepting environment. Depending on our approaches together, sessions may look different each visit, but clients should always leave in a grounded place with techniques to help better navigate their world until we meet again.
