Great to meet you!

I work with teens and adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. Many of my clients are navigating depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, or major life transitions. I bring a calm, nonjudgmental, and down-to-earth presence to therapy and strive to create a space where you can speak openly without feeling judged. With 10 years of experience in the mental health field, including 3 years as a licensed mental health counselor, my goal is to help you feel supported while also making meaningful progress toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your individual needs. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and person-centered approaches to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop healthier coping and communication skills, and work toward goals that matter to you. I believe therapy should provide both a supportive space to process what you are experiencing and practical tools you can use outside of sessions.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We will talk about what you have been experiencing, relevant parts of your history, what is currently working or not working, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no expectation that you share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable while identifying your priorities and beginning to develop a plan for moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and clearer about what our work together can look like.

For clients who desire it, I am also comfortable incorporating Christian faith and values into the therapeutic process.
