Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor with over ten years of experience. I received a bachelor’s in psychology from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2006 and a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from Sam Houston University in 2008. I am licensed as a counselor in Louisiana, Texas, and Arizona. In 2020, I opened my private practice. I have worked in various levels of practice settings such as community mental health agencies, group homes, foster care, and private practice.

My approach to therapy

During the therapeutic process, I encourage vulnerability. I have learned so much information from my clients, such as strengthening my abilities to be open and genuine. I take pride in working with others and continue to learn and grow daily from the relationships I’ve established. I am an eclectic therapist and use CBT, DBT, behavior modification, person-centered, and solutions focused modalities.

What you can expect from me

As a counselor, my goal is to engage and empower, so you feel as if you can handle any problems life throws your way. I want you to walk away feeling seen, heard, and not judged for your experiences. Our experiences shape us for growth, but at times, can be stressful and traumatic. My ideal client would benefit from services by gaining knowledge, insight, and awareness into their problems and who is willing to work towards effective change and growth.
