Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Brittany — a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with seven years of experience helping adults navigate some of life's hardest chapters. I believe every person deserves care that's as unique as they are. I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, unresolved trauma, depression, grief, low self-esteem, and relationship or family conflict. My approach draws on evidence-based tools — including DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-focused techniques — woven together with a genuine belief in your capacity to grow. I hold a Master's degree in Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida and went on to practice therapy in three different states where I’ve worked with people from many different walks of life and cultural backgrounds. I offer telehealth sessions, so you can access quality care from wherever you feel most comfortable. Let me help you make the changes that you want to see!

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it's tailored to you — not a one-size-fits-all protocol. My style is strength-based and collaborative: I'll meet you where you are, help you identify what's getting in the way, and work with you to build practical, lasting skills for managing life's challenges. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method, and trauma-informed practices, choosing the tools that best fit your goals. Whether you're learning to regulate difficult emotions, processing past wounds, or building resilience after a stressful season, my goal is to activate the strengths you already have and put you on a positive path toward well-being — and to go beyond just coping, toward truly thriving. My goal is also to help clients become as independent and confident as possible, so that one day they feel they no longer need me because they have the tools to support themselves!

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know each other — there's no pressure to have everything figured out before we begin. I'll ask questions to better understand what brought you here, what's felt hard lately, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. We'll talk about your goals and I'll share how I work, so you can decide if I'm the right fit for you. Most importantly, I want you to leave that first conversation feeling heard, respected, and hopeful. There's no homework, no judgment — just a genuine conversation and a collaborative plan for what comes next.
