Great to meet you!

My name is Brittany and as an African-American LCSW and LCDC-I, I work with Adults (18+) that are struggling with depression and adjustment disorders related to stress, life transitions or trauma. I also help treat anxiety disorders, and relationship issues. I have experience working with individuals from all walks of life, specifically those that identify as being a part of the military community, single parents, LGBTQ+, Black and Indigenous/People of Color.

My approach to therapy

Counseling and therapy are tools to help us better understand the multifaceted layers that make up our existence. I aim to balance creativity with logic, as we take the road less traveled in each of our sessions by incorporating mindfulness along with various expressive therapies such as art, music, cinema, writing, if they are appropriate.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help you navigate a world that can be overwhelming. Our first few sessions we will work together to identify your needs and discuss what therapeutic strategies may work best. My purpose is to empower you to embrace your emotions, feelings and thoughts to help you gain a better sense of self. Let’s work together to create the safe space you need to be your most authentic self.
