Seeking therapy is a big step and may seem daunting at first. However, it can help you set goals and achieve self-acceptance, as well as learn ways to navigate stressful moments, such as trauma and abuse, difficulties in relationships, school or career challenges, and life transitions. When experiencing depression, anxiety, or low self-esteem, talking about your thoughts and feelings with a supportive person can be very healing, and I am here to listen and provide encouragement and guidance.
My goal is to create a safe and empathic, yet creative, environment, to help you feel empowered to overcome barriers, gain new insights, and learn ways of managing emotion in order to move toward resiliency and competence. I believe in a holistic, collaborative approach, in which the development of a meaningful patient/therapist relationship is essential in promoting change, and I utilize complementary techniques to offer an individualized plan for you.
Ultimately, I want you to feel heard, understood, and free to safely express yourself and explore your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to work toward a values-based life. I welcome the opportunity to assist you in finding more effective ways of moving through life.
