Great to meet you!

I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of nursing experience. I began my career as a Registered Nurse in 2011 and spent the next 11 years working in inpatient psychiatric settings. My commitment to mental health care led me to earn ANCC certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse in 2020.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating summa cum laude from West Virginia University, and my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University. I’m passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and supporting individuals on their mental health journeys.

My approach to therapy

I have primarily worked with adults throughout my clinical experience, with a particular focus on mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. I provide psychiatric care across the lifespan and have experience treating a broad range of mental health conditions.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe effective treatment starts with taking the time to understand each person’s experiences, concerns, and goals. I work with clients to develop treatment plans that feel realistic and supportive, while providing education and guidance to help them better understand and manage their mental health.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being open and honest about what they are experiencing. I believe that meaningful treatment begins with building a trusting therapeutic relationship and ensuring that clients feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about their care.

Together, we work toward reducing the burden of mental health symptoms and improving overall quality of life. Treatment goals may include improving mood and emotional stability, reducing anxiety and distress, improving sleep and daily functioning, strengthening coping skills, increasing motivation and confidence, and helping clients feel more engaged in their relationships, work, school, and everyday lives.

I recognize that progress looks different for everyone, and I strive to meet clients where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be. My approach emphasizes realistic, individualized goals and ongoing collaboration. I want clients to leave treatment not only feeling better, but also with a greater understanding of their mental health and practical tools they can use to maintain progress and navigate future challenges.
