Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Britt. I specialize in affirming therapy for LGBTQ+ individuals, folks who identify as neurodiverse, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I also have lived and professional experience working with religious trauma. I identify as queer/lesbian, and I grew up in the midwest before moving to California.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work relationally, and with an emphasis that you are the expert on your lived experiences. My education and observations can be relevant when utilized in a collaborative, rather than instructive way. For OCD specifically, I generally use a combination of Exposure and Response Prevention and Mindfulness/Non-Engagement Responses to help folks identify and address not only behavioral, but mental compulsions.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients generally leave sessions feeling seen, affirmed, and less alone in their experiences. Overall progress looks different for every person, but often looks like a decrease in general distress, and/or an increase in your confidence that you can handle difficult things!
