Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Brittany. I’m a licensed professional counselor in Texas and Colorado. I enjoy working with people experiencing new life transitions. Big life changes can bring up doubts, anxiety, confusion, and fear; I’m here to walk this journey with you and support you along the way. I also specialize in working with brain injury and spinal cord injury clients and their families. As a certified brain-injury specialist, I work to support you and your family in your adjustment.

My approach to therapy

I practice from a cognitive and humanistic perspective; That our emotions and thoughts as they relate to our core beliefs of self and the world around us, fall on a spectrum. This spectrum is largely influenced by our individual experiences and thus you are the expert in your life and what your needs are. It is my role as a counselor to establish a therapeutic relationship in which you feel comfortable and supported as you work through your identified challenges and toward your personal goals.

What you can expect from me

The goals of therapy vary by client but can include: personal growth and development; the elimination or mitigation of feelings of distress; increasing self-esteem and openness to experience; developing supportive tools and strategies that support your daily functioning; and enhancing the client’s understanding of themselves. We will discuss your goals in our initial session, explore what you're looking for out of therapy, and work together to create an environment that supports you!
