Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I am passionate about helping individuals heal from the wounds that continue to shape their present. I am the CEO and Founder of Mental Freedom Counseling Services LLC, proudly recognized with the Best of Alabama 2026 Award in Counseling and Therapy Practices. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and substance use, while maintaining a special passion for attachment wounds and the lasting impact of childhood experiences. I believe many of our current struggles make sense when we understand where they began.

My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive environment where you feel truly seen and understood. Together, we'll identify patterns that no longer serve you, strengthen healthier ways of coping, and work toward lasting emotional freedom. Whether you're navigating painful relationships, unresolved trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to help you build insight, healing, and confidence so you can create the life and relationships you deserve.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is rooted in Attachment Theory and trauma-informed care because I believe many of our present-day struggles are connected to our earliest relationships and life experiences. Together, we'll explore how your attachment style influences your emotions, relationships, boundaries, and sense of self while identifying the patterns that continue to keep you stuck.

Although attachment work serves as the foundation of my practice, I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches to meet your unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, and Jungian concepts. I believe therapy should be collaborative, insightful, and practical—helping you not only understand why you think, feel, and behave the way you do, but also equipping you with the tools needed to create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we'll spend time getting to know your story beyond the symptoms that brought you to therapy. We'll complete a thorough intake while exploring important life experiences, relationships, and patterns that may provide clues about your attachment style and how it influences your current emotional well-being.

As part of this process, you'll complete an attachment style assessment that serves as one tool to better understand how you connect with yourself and others. Together, we'll begin identifying the root causes behind your struggles, discuss your goals for therapy, and create a treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs. My hope is that you leave your very first session feeling understood, hopeful, and equipped with a clearer understanding of where your healing journey will begin.
