Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when children and teens feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Supporting young people and their families is a passion of mine, and I enjoy helping children and adolescents build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and navigate life's challenges.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional and behavioral concerns, and life transitions. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and use evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT-informed skills, and Motivational Interviewing, tailored to each client's unique needs. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where young people feel empowered to grow, heal, and develop the skills needed for lasting success at home, school, and in relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each child's unique needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where children and teens feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. I believe in meeting young people where they are and working alongside them and their families to build on strengths, overcome challenges, and create meaningful change.

I use a strengths-based approach and draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and DBT-informed interventions. My goal is to help children and teens develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, build confidence, strengthen resilience, and navigate life's challenges with greater success.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment focused on getting to know one another and helping you feel comfortable. We'll discuss the concerns that brought you to therapy, explore strengths and challenges, and identify goals for treatment. For younger children, caregivers will play an important role in providing background information and collaborating in the therapeutic process. My goal is for clients and families to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path forward.
