Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Brittany, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, nurturing, and judgment-free care for children and adults across the lifespan. My experience includes medication management, education, and therapy for patients diagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder. I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of Tennessee and am board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

I have worked with children, teens, adults, and older adults, providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and care coordination. This includes supporting people navigating substance use challenges, children and young people in foster care, and individuals experiencing homelessness.

I understand life is busy, and sometimes it can be hard to make appointments during traditional hours. I'm available to see clients after 6 pm EST on MWF and Saturdays.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care includes treating the whole person. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I care for the whole person, not just their symptoms. I listen to each patient’s experiences and consider how their body, mind, and daily life affect their well-being. Together, we create a personalized plan that combines safe medication use, coping skills, and healthy habits to support healing and lasting wellness.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will include me getting to know you. This is a judgment-free zone, and I want you to be as comfortable as you can be while telling me some of the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that have been affecting your day-to-day life. This is a safe space. I want to learn what has truly been the heaviest burden you have had to carry and what you would like to gain from treatment. I'll ask a lot of questions, but we will work together to create a plan that you and I are comfortable with. I believe in working together and building rapport so we can develop a treatment plan as a team.
