Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated counselor with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through academic, emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. My professional background includes school counseling, school-based mental health services, behavioral support, and therapeutic residential programming. I hold a strong foundation in child and adolescent development and have worked collaboratively with students, families, educators, and other professionals to help young people build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and reach their full potential.

My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's unique strengths and needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where adolescents feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate life's challenges. I work with adolescents and families experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, and challenges with relationships, self-esteem, and everyday stressors. Through individualized support, I help clients strengthen coping strategies, build confidence, improve communication, and develop practical tools to support their emotional well-being.

Meaningful progress happens when young people feel supported and families feel included in the process. My goal is to partner with each adolescent and family to foster connection, encourage growth, and build skills that promote lasting emotional health and resilience.

My approach to therapy

I believe that every child has strengths, every family has a story, and growth happens when we feel safe enough to be ourselves. My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and engaging, with a little fun along the way! I strive to create a space where children and teens feel comfortable being themselves, sharing their experiences, and discovering what makes them unique.

Whether we're navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, big emotions, friendship struggles, or the everyday ups and downs of growing up, I meet each child where they are. I use a strengths-based, individualized approach to help young people better understand themselves, build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and feel more capable of handling life's challenges. I believe counseling doesn't have to feel intimidating—it can be a place to explore, learn, laugh, problem-solve, and celebrate even the smallest victories.

Families are an important part of the journey, too! I value open communication and collaboration, helping parents and caregivers better understand their child's needs while building practical strategies that work at home, at school, and beyond. My goal is to help children and families feel heard, supported, and empowered, because meaningful growth happens when we work together. Ultimately, I want every child to leave our work together feeling more confident, connected, and equipped to navigate the world as their authentic self.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to make our first session feel welcoming, comfortable, and free of pressure. Clients don't need to have all the answers, know exactly what to say, or be ready to share everything right away. We will move at whatever pace is comfortable, together.

In our first session, we'll begin getting to know one another and building the trust and connection that create the foundation for meaningful therapy. I'll take time to learn about you, your experiences, your strengths, and what has brought you to counseling. We'll also talk about what therapy is, what you can expect from our work together, and how I can best support you in my role as your therapist. Your needs, comfort, and personal goals will guide our time together.

If there are concerns that feel especially important or are affecting your well-being right now, we may spend some time exploring those together. This helps me better understand what you're experiencing, what support you may need, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no expectation to share more than you feel ready to share, and we'll work together to determine what feels most helpful.

We'll also discuss confidentiality, including how your privacy is protected and the situations in which information may need to be shared to help keep you or someone else safe. I welcome any questions you have and want you to feel informed, respected, and comfortable throughout the process.
