Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a psychologist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan with a variety of life concerns. I specialize in working with gifted and high-achieving individuals, including intellectually gifted students and professionals in demanding fields such as law, healthcare, and business.

Another area of focus is providing a safe and supportive space for clients to navigate life transitions, including adolescence, early adulthood, college, parenthood, the empty nest phase, and relationship and employment changes. I have experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals seeking a spiritually open-minded therapeutic approach.

In addition to my clinical work, I am a passionate advocate for mental health. I am a member of the American Psychological Association and a past President of the Missouri Psychological Association. I offer coaching and consulting services to graduate students and training programs. In my free time, I enjoy time outdoors at the lake, on the hiking trails, or hunting for hidden waterfalls.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe in the importance of a holistic approach to well-being and I integrate mindfulness and self-compassion practices into my work. I am committed to creating a therapeutic environment that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering for all clients.

My theoretical orientation is grounded in third-wave cognitive behavioral interventions (think CBT, DBT, ACT). Though we might have some structured exercises for “stinkin’ thinkin’” and behavior changes, we also play together. Humans of all ages can benefit from processing thoughts and feelings through games, stories, art, movement, and humor. I invite you to co-create this healing space together.

What you can expect from our first session

When leaving our sessions, I hope clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I hope they feel curious about their challenges and strategies that might offer some relief. I hope they feel like they’ve taken that next step toward creating a life worth living.
