Great to meet you!

I have been a practicing therapist for 12 years and in private practice for seven. I love working with individuals struggling with self-compassion, boundary issues, and mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. I have extensive background in working with trauma and utilize a trauma-informed, eclectic approach with each client.

I have greatly enjoyed trainings on Highly Sensitive People and Nervous System regulation techniques. I pull from this knowledge with many clients to regulate their bodies and build self-love. Clients often report feeling relaxed in sessions with due to my casual, straight-forward approach; I enjoy showing clients that therapy doesn’t have to be something we fear, but rather something we look forward to.

My approach to therapy

Clients report that they enjoy my laid-back, direct, and humorous approach in treatment. I like to pull from your history to explore the causes of pain, and build you up with self compassion/love to heal any trauma or wounds.

I believe that it takes a variety of approaches to assist us in self-actualizing and becoming our true selves; therefore, nervous system regulation is another key approach in my treatment. We won't be able to do our work together if your body is stuck in fight or flight, or shut down, and I can help you in identifying the symptoms and utilizing strategies to help your body feel safe so that our emotional work will sink in!

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, I will take the time to get to know you! It's also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions of me so that we can build rapport and create comfort and safety. We'll go over what your life looks like right now and important things from your past that have led you to this moment. Setting goals will be something we do together too!
