Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Brittany! I received my BA in Psychology and Masters in Social Work. I first started in the Social Work field in 2010. Since then I've worked in a variety of settings including group homes, drop-in centers and out patient mental health. I believe in the power of both individual and collective healing, and therapy is a space that can have impact individually, which can lead to collective change.

There is a lot to navigate in this world currently, both collectively and personally. I believe that each person holds wisdom within and often we just need space to tap back into that wisdom and allow the body to communicate what is needed. Anxiety, depression, and PTSD are all natural responses in a world that doesn't fully support us in processing and integrating traumatic and challenging experiences. Know that this is a space for all parts of you to show up and be seen and supported.

My approach to therapy

I have a holistic approach to therapy. I believe that the therapeutic process is fluid. I will meet you where you're at and allow for the space to be co-created. I have also been trained as a yoga teacher and somatic practitioner and can bring mindfulness/body awareness into sessions. While talk therapy can be helpful, I know from my own personal practices and work in the field that trauma lives in the body and often needs release in order to move towards healing/wholeness.

What you can expect from me

The 1st session is a chance to get to know each other. I'd enjoy learning about what is bringing you to the space and anything important you'd want me to know right away.
