Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Brittany Valdez. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and practical support. I believe that therapy is most effective when you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults in both community mental health and hospital settings, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, and serious mental illness. My background has also given me extensive experience collaborating with healthcare providers, families, and community resources to help clients overcome complex barriers and achieve their goals.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, but you don't have to do it alone. I look forward to working with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based interventions. Together, we'll build practical coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and work toward the goals that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, experiencing a major life change, struggling with stress or anxiety, or simply looking for a safe space to process life's challenges, I'm here to support you. My goal is to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself while developing the tools to move forward with confidence.
