Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Brooke and I've been in the Social Work field for over 20 years, in some form or fashion. I started out in mental health case management to navigating hospital discharge planning. That's where I found a passion I didn't realize I had and that's assisting in lifes challenges, from minor injuries to hospice. It wasn't until I experienced lifes challenges and aging family members and all that brings, the good, bad, and ugly. Because lets be honest, life can be hard and having a safe space for you to process all that's going on, is what I hope to be able to provide you.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my girls, ages 25 and 18, and whew raising two girls who are seven years apart was/is not for the weak of heart; however, I wouldn't change any of this for the world. I love the beach, it offers me a space to release my stress and worry, and love dogs and cats. I hope to be able to offer you the support and guidance you might need and walk with you through life's waves.

My approach to therapy

I will guide and encourage you to look at your current situation and learn from what you might be struggling with, while working with you on identifying just how much you are able to accomplish, without realizing it. In order to do that, I use a solution-focused concept, incorporating Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify strengths, develop practical strategies, and work toward meaningful change. This isn't a race to the finish line, it's a walk that isn't meant to be easy. If things were easy, we wouldn't grow. I hope to afford you the opportunity to grow.

What you can expect from me

Initial appointment will be focused on gathering background information, reviewing administrative information, and beginning to identify specific goals.
