Great to meet you!

I’ve spent over twenty years working with children, teens, and young adults as a teacher, tutor, and counselor. From Cincinnati to Connecticut, Honduras to New York City, and back to Greater Cincinnati again, my passion is helping young people thrive. I typically work with clients ages 10-25, but it's all about the right fit. You can find out more about me on my website: counselingwithbrooke.com/about-me

My approach to therapy

sessionsI use an eclectic, creative, and person-centered approach to counseling. I have completed intensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. I incorporate mindfulness and play therapy techniques into sessions and provide psychoeducation and bibliotherapy (or book therapy). No two counseling sessions are ever the same!

What you can expect from me

Our first session together is all about making sure this is a good fit. I have to ask a lot of questions and gather information. It's my chance to get to know more about you or your child. You can also ask me as many questions as you’d like! We will collaborate to set goals for and discuss a plan for counseling. My main goal is to start to understand you and what you want from life. You can find my longer description of the counseling process here: counselingwithbrooke.com/what-to-expect
