Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Brooke Salvador, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing therapy virtually throughout Florida. I specialize in working with first responders and their families, as well as maternal mental health, while also helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, and emotional exhaustion. I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help when you’re used to carrying so much on your own.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized to each client’s needs. I am EMDR trained and integrate approaches such as CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy to help clients build insight, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change. Above all, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be fully themselves while also feeling supported, challenged, and empowered to grow. I work from a trauma-informed perspective and integrate evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and person-centered therapy to help clients better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of coping.

I specialize in working with first responders and their families, maternal mental health, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Whether a client is navigating chronic stress, burnout, relationship challenges, pregnancy or postpartum changes, or unresolved trauma, my goal is to help them move out of survival mode and toward greater balance, healing, and self-understanding. I value creating a strong therapeutic relationship and believe meaningful change happens when clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported throughout the process.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to feel conversational, supportive, and judgment-free. I view the first session as serving two important purposes: information gathering and rapport building. The information gathering process helps me better understand your experiences, current stressors, symptoms, and goals so we can create a thoughtful and strategic treatment plan tailored to your needs. At the same time, building rapport is equally important because therapy works best when you feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely supported throughout the process.

My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work we can do together. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, so I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable showing up as themselves while we begin the deeper work of healing and growth.
