Brooke Usrey

I earned my MA from Bastyr University, where my early training focused on integrating the body and nervous system and bringing intersectional feminism into the therapy room. I launched my private practice in 2018 fueled by my passion for queer-identified folks, women, and gender-fluid individuals. I attend ongoing clinical training on perinatal mental health and body based approaches to anxiety management. My areas of expertise include anxiety, pregnancy andpostpartum, and stress management.

I use an interwoven approach to counseling, tailoring to the individual experience of each client. I believe we are all human, our identities matter, and we are doing the best with what we have. I use a primarily relational and feminist, anti-oppression approach and I am trained in working with the nervous system to heal anxiety in the body and mind. I have an informal style and I use humor in my work with clients.

I'm a good fit for adults looking for support during life's major transitions, such as pregnancy, postpartum, and grief and loss. I work with my clients to increase flexibility, work toward acceptance, and identify the power of choice we have when faced with uncertainty. In our work together, my clients find new ways to manage stress and new ways to relate to the important people in their lives (including themselves!).
