Great to meet you!

If food, body image, or exercise feel like a constant source of stress in your life, I would love to help. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 11 years experience in working with eating disorders, I want to support your journey in choosing and maintaining recovery. I use approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand where these thoughts and behaviors come from. I enjoy directing energy towards one's values and providing small achievable steps to creating a life in recovery. I have worked for The Emily Program, The Eating Recovery Center, Thira Health, and served LGBTQIA+ folks at Seattle Counseling Service. I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology and truly love working with this population as I am in recovery myself and truly believe recovery is possible for everyone.

My approach to therapy

I love being curious and inquisitive by nature to help you identify the purpose your eating disorder serves. I do believe eating disorders have saved people's lives as a means of coping through difficult life events. I want to help you see how it is creating more harm than good now and help build self-trust in taking actions towards recovery.

What you can expect from me

An open and safe place to receive validation on how hard eating disorders are to give up. Natural curiosity about when your eating disorder started and what purpose it serves. II will ask you where you willingness is to live a life in recovery and help you specify what goals you would like to work on.
