Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LISW-CP). I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018. I've worked in both inpatient behavioral health hospitals and outpatient behavioral health clinics for the past 7 years and have worked in the non-profit sector for 10 years prior to that. I am certified in EMDR, which is the gold standard treatment for trauma.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered approach to therapy, which means I believe that you are the expert on you. I work with clients to help them respond vs react, identify stuck points, explore behavioral patterns that no longer serve them, and develop tools to manage the struggles of life. I use evidence-based practice such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy.

What you can expect from me

My ultimate goal is for the client to leave therapy with a renewed sense of self – to work with their emotions, identify and advocate for their needs, and ultimately develop healthier ways of moving through the world.
