Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with a Master of Arts in Counseling and current doctoral studies in Psychology, specializing in Behavioral Health Leadership. My background includes work in residential facilities, state hospitals, regional jails, community mental health, and hospital systems—particularly with serious mental illness and day-to-day stressors for all individuals with a specialization with healthcare providers and first responders.

As a first responder myself, I understand the unique pressures that come with high-stakes roles and the toll they can take on both mental and physical health. Whether someone is navigating crisis, burnout, or just the everyday challenges of maintaining balance, I strive to create a space that feels supportive, grounded, and real. My clients often describe me as relatable, open-minded, and refreshingly direct—with a healthy dose of humor when it’s needed most.

My approach to therapy

My approach is participatory and client-led—I believe you’re the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you see things clearly, build tools, and move toward the life you want. I often use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and logotherapy to help clients identify patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and find deeper meaning in their experiences.

I value authenticity and straightforward communication. I’m not the type of therapist who just nods and agrees—I’ll listen deeply, but I’ll also challenge you when it helps you grow. Humor and humanity play a big role in my sessions, because sometimes laughter is part of healing, too.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about building connection and setting the foundation for our work together. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, reviewing what brought you to therapy, and exploring what’s working—and what’s not—in your current routines and mindset.

You can expect a mix of conversation and brief assessment to help me understand your goals, background, and preferences. By the end of the session, we’ll collaborate on a plan that feels tailored to you—something that’s practical, sustainable, and aligned with how you naturally operate.
