Brooks Bukhari

Hey there! I'm Brooks, an LMFT. I entered the mental health field in 2015, and have been blessed to work with folks from all walks of life. I spent 6 yrs doing behavioral therapy with families and adolescents, 1 yr working with sexual assault trauma survivors, and 2 yrs working with teens & adults in an IOP/PHP clinic providing group & individual therapy. I've worked with diagnoses including but not limited to: PTSD, anxiety, depression, borderline personal disorder, and bipolar disorder.

My counseling style is pretty laid back; I'm here to be an accepting presence, offer support, & to be a helping hand. I like to tackle challenges from 2 sides: working in the here-and-now and looking at what we can do to manage current challenges, but also doing some "soul searching" to process and to gain deeper understanding to our struggles. I tend to have a "wholeness" approach and will encourage you to get to know yourself better mind, body & soul, in hopes of improving health in each area.

I try to be a chameleon to fit the needs and "vibe" of the client, & try to help them feel empowered. I appreciate being able to take the time to get to know one another, develop a safe space, & establish an organic therapeutic relationship. Whether it's processing, developing skills (personal, interpersonal, coping, etc.), or engaging in self-exploration, I believe there should be a productive flexibility to each session to meet & address overall goals, as well as current/presenting needs.
