Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Army Veteran with extensive experience supporting adults through a wide range of mental health and life challenges. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, grief, and major life transitions.

I have experience working with both civilian and Veteran populations and understand the unique pressures that can come with demanding careers, family responsibilities, military service, and periods of personal change. My focus is on helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and practical strategies that support long-term growth and well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct, and grounded in authenticity. I believe strong therapeutic relationships are built through trust, consistency, and creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard without judgment. I aim to balance insight-oriented conversations with practical tools that clients can apply in everyday life.

I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based interventions, and trauma-informed care. I tailor treatment to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, recognizing that each person’s experiences, goals, and challenges are different.

I often work with clients struggling with anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, men’s mental health concerns, substance use, self-esteem issues, and difficulties related to identity, purpose, or interpersonal relationships. I also work well with individuals who may have never participated in therapy before and are looking for a straightforward, supportive environment to begin the process.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a relaxed, conversational, and supportive first session focused on getting to know them as a person rather than feeling like they are being “evaluated.” My goal early on is to understand what brought someone to therapy, what challenges they are currently facing, and what they hope will improve in their life.

We will discuss relevant background information, current stressors, coping patterns, strengths, and goals for treatment at a pace that feels comfortable. I work to create an environment where clients feel safe being honest, even when discussing difficult or deeply personal topics.

By the end of the first session, clients can expect to have a clearer sense of how we may work together moving forward, along with an initial framework for treatment goals and areas of focus.
