Treatment specialties- Missed diagnosis of ADHD in middle aged persons, especially Women. This is missed so often in highly intelligent persons who found ways to compensate, but it catches up to you. We are firm believers in a perimenopausal trigger, so many women say the same thing "I feel like I am losing it".

I am also good at reducing psychiatric medication load. Feeling empty on a high dose or multiples of medications? We are cautious and honest about psychiatric medications.

As a small personalized clinic, we are not currently treating Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Behavioral, IDD, or Substance abuse/ addiction at this time.

UNC Health Alliance with Blue Cross Blue Shield- Even though Headway takes BCBS, this restrictive plan excludes anyone but UNC providers. Sorry but we can't see you.

We will spend time setting reasonable expectations for prescribed psychiatric medications. I prescribe these medications but am honest they can "help, but not fix". All these medications have side effects or some kind of price you pay for taking them so I am cautious. We will work to get you the right medicine at the right dose. If you have tried 4 antidepressants without feeling better, I'm not going to give you a 5th, I'm going to look in a different direction.
