Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Bryce Kennedy and as someone who once needed counseling, I recognize the impact of having the support you need. I have been a counselor for 2 years after obtaining my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Abilene Christian University. I have been working with a wide variety of clients including those with intellectual disabilities, 2ingage, behavioral hospitals, couples, and more. I specialize in teens and adults from a variety of backgrounds and look forward to meeting you!

My approach to therapy

I work alongside my clients to help them navigate their life, decisions, and difficulties and find value in building people up. I am naturally a very positive person who likes to meet people where they are at and work on making improvements, however small or large, towards the goals they have in their life. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have been trained on other modalities to use an eclectic approach depending on the wants and needs of the client.

What you can expect from me

For my first session, I like to focus on learning about the client. Often times, when coming to counseling, people are not doing well in their day-to-day life but I am a firm believer that a person is much more than their rock bottom. I want to learn about my client's interests, struggles, likes, dislikes, values, dreams, and more. Ultimately, I meet my client where they are at whether nervous to get started or ready to dive in. I will go over the consent form to ensure we start on the same page and have an overall goal of comfortability.
