My approach to therapy is concrete - with lots of flexibility, guided by your needs. If you prefer to talk it out, I'm here to listen, encourage, challenge, and validate. If you'd like some tangible work, I can incorporate in-session activities, worksheets, and psychoeducation. And it can certainly be a balance of all the above!
As an ecotherapist, I am also happy to bring in nature as part of the healing experience. This approach can mean discussing nature, practicing nature visualization, or even taking our session outdoors.
Finally, I like to provide some direction for treatment. We'll schedule month by month and discuss where you're at with your goals. This way, the continuation, or closure, of the therapy experience is not nebulous - it's an open conversation in the work we do together.
