Great to meet you!

I am currently accepting new clients. To learn more or schedule an appointment, please contact Serene Mind Counseling + Evaluations at 813-321-8280 or [email protected]. We will not be able to see you if you schedule directly via Headway or message us via Headway portal.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are — without having to have everything figured out first.

I work with children, teens, young adults, and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, body image concerns, perfectionism, life transitions, burnout, or simply feeling disconnected from themselves.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I want you to feel understood while also having practical tools you can actually use in your everyday life.

I have a particular interest in the connection between the mind and body. Sometimes we can understand something intellectually, but our body and nervous system may still be responding to stress, change, or past experiences. I incorporate somatic and nervous-system-informed approaches to help clients become more aware of those patterns in a way that feels supportive and manageable.

You don't have to know exactly what you need before you reach out. We can figure that out together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is individualized, collaborative, and grounded in both compassion and practical support.

I draw from approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and somatic-informed approaches.

DBT skills can be especially helpful for learning how to navigate intense emotions, stress, relationships, boundaries, and moments when everything feels like too much.

I also incorporate mind-body and nervous-system awareness because our emotional experiences don't happen only in our thoughts. Stress and difficult experiences can show up in the body, affect how we respond to the world, and influence how safe, connected, or overwhelmed we feel.

Depending on your needs, therapy may include learning practical coping skills, exploring thought and behavior patterns, building emotional awareness, working with the body, or making space to process experiences that have been difficult to put into words.

I don't believe there is one right way to do therapy. My goal is to meet you where you are, understand what you need, and work with you to find an approach that feels both supportive and useful.

What you can expect from me

I am currently accepting new clients. To connect with me, please contact Serene Mind Counseling + Evaluations at 813-321-8280 or [email protected].

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy.

We'll talk about what you've been experiencing, what feels difficult right now, and what you'd like support with. We'll also begin talking about your goals and what you hope might feel different as you move through therapy.

You don't need to come prepared with the perfect explanation. You don't have to know exactly where to start.

We can take our time and figure that out together.

If you're experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, emotional challenges, or stress that shows up physically, we may also begin exploring the connection between your thoughts, emotions, body, and nervous system.

My goal for that first session isn't to overwhelm you with homework or try to solve everything at once. It's to begin creating a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported.

From there, we'll work together to develop an approach that fits you — your needs, your goals, and the pace that feels right.
