Great to meet you!

Caitlin Leeper is a licensed professional and chemical dependency counselor, with professional and personal experience in trauma, addiction, and mental health recovery, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Trauma Conscious Yoga Method, EMDRPT-II, Dialectal Behavior Therapy and trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems informed. With 23 years in personal recovery, Caitlin blends clinical expertise with lived experience.

She’s a real human helping other real humans learn how to navigate life on this floating rock in space. Whether that means breaking old patterns, ditching people-pleasing, making peace with your past, or just figuring out how to exist without screaming into the void.

Caitlin earned her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020 after interning at a dual-diagnosis addiction treatment center, where she focused on problematic sexual behavior and addiction. She then spent 4 years as the lead therapist at an intensive outpatient program, working with people navigating addiction, codependency, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, BPD, and PTSD.

My approach to therapy

We all operate out of the lense of our experience. And 99.9999% of times, our problems stem from our mind. Sometimes those thoughts are brought on by outside circumstances and situations we were genuine victims in. Taking control of our mind frees us from our past! If we can change the way we think, we can change the way we do things. With a little willingness and awareness, DBT and CBT skills from a trauma-informed place can get you there! I'll light the way.

What you can expect from me

Caitlin's goal is to ALWAYS leave you feeling hope, capable, and motivated for change. Strengthening your ability to see progress and gains, no matter how small. Caitlin will always seek to understand the direction you want your life to head, empowering you to take actions toward getting yourself there. Through homework between sessions, skill building, untangling daily life struggles, or diving into your past, you can expect to take away a deeper understanding of who you truly are.
