Great to meet you!

I'm Caitlyn Champion, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) offering telehealth psychiatric care throughout Colorado and in-person services in Parker, CO. I specialize in working with women, children, and teens, providing medication management and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations that are thoughtful, collaborative, and never rushed.

Before opening my practice, I spent years overseeing the inpatient psychiatric unit at Children's Hospital Colorado—one of the country's leading pediatric hospitals. That experience shaped how I practice: with patience, genuine curiosity, and a deep respect for how hard it can be to ask for help. I also worked in community mental health, which strengthened my commitment to accessible, insurance-supported care for people at every stage of their journey.

I treat ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma, and more. For children and teens, I also offer therapy rooted in CBT and Internal Family Systems. And for families looking for something a little different, I offer equine-assisted therapy on a case-by-case basis—a uniquely grounding option, especially for young clients.

My approach to therapy

Medication management doesn't have to feel like a rushed 15-minute check-in. My goal is to create an ongoing, honest conversation about how you're actually doing—how your medications are working in your real life, what feels right, and what might need to change. We move at a pace that makes sense for you.

Care here is collaborative and integrative. Alongside medication, we may explore therapy, lifestyle factors, nutrition, supplements, or coordination with your other providers. I work especially well with women and children, and I tailor each treatment plan to the person in front of me—not just a diagnosis on a chart.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is a 60-minute intake session. We'll spend that time getting to know each other—talking through your history, what's been hard, what you've tried, and what you're hoping to feel like on the other side. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we begin.

From there, we'll build a care plan that feels realistic and individualized. Whether you're brand new to psychiatry or have been navigating this for years, you'll leave with a clear sense of what comes next. Follow-up visits focus on how things are going and how we can keep refining your support over time.

Most services are covered through major insurance plans accepted on Headway. I hope this gives you enough of a sense of who I am to take that first step.
