Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical support. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful and lasting change.

I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, and substance use concerns. My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I integrate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and solution-focused interventions to help clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and strengthen overall emotional well-being.

In addition to my clinical work, I currently serve as a School Counselor supporting students in grades K–5. This experience has provided me with extensive knowledge of child development, school-related challenges, behavioral concerns, family dynamics, and social-emotional learning. I value partnering with families and collaborating with schools and other professionals when appropriate to ensure clients receive comprehensive and effective support.

I earned an Ed.S. in Mental Health Counseling and an M.A. in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Seton Hall University. I also hold an M.A. in Education and a B.S. in Mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

I believe therapy is a meaningful step toward growth, healing, and resilience. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I am dedicated to helping clients feel supported, develop effective tools for change, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized to each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful and lasting change.

I strive to build strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and authenticity. I work collaboratively with clients to increase self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, and strengthen the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and emotional balance. My style is compassionate and supportive while also being practical and goal-oriented, helping clients make progress in ways that feel manageable and meaningful.

My therapeutic approach is informed by evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, strengths-based interventions, and trauma-informed care. I tailor treatment to meet the unique needs of each individual, whether they are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship concerns, or life transitions. Together, we explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying practical tools that support healing, growth, and overall well-being.

My background in both school counseling and mental health counseling has provided me with a strong understanding of social-emotional development, family dynamics, behavioral challenges, and the diverse stressors individuals face throughout different stages of life. This perspective allows me to support clients with compassion, insight, and a holistic understanding of their experiences.

Above all, my goal is to help clients feel supported, empowered, and capable of creating positive change while fostering greater self-confidence, resilience, and emotional wellness.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, my goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable, heard, and respected. I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming or unfamiliar, and I strive to help clients feel at ease as we begin getting to know one another and exploring what has brought them to therapy.

Our initial session is an opportunity to discuss your current concerns, personal experiences, strengths, and goals for treatment. I will ask thoughtful questions to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges you may be facing, as well as the areas in which you would like support, growth, or change. Together, we will begin identifying meaningful and realistic goals that align with your individual needs and priorities.

We will also discuss my therapeutic approach, what the counseling process may look like, and how we can work collaboratively to support your progress. Whether you are seeking help with anxiety, stress, depression, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, trauma, or life transitions, I tailor treatment to meet you where you are while providing practical tools and evidence-based strategies to support your well-being.

Above all, the first session is about establishing a strong therapeutic connection built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. Clients can expect a compassionate and supportive space where they feel genuinely listened to and empowered as we begin working together toward greater balance, resilience, and personal growth.
