Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Caleigh Niemann, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 7 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and anger management. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure how to navigate a difficult experience. I’m here to help you make sense of what’s happening and find a way forward. I’m extremely passionate about mental health, and my style is laid-back, supportive, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. I believe you already have strengths we can build on, and I’ll help you recognize them while working through the challenges in front of you.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is a balance of feeling understood and being gently challenged. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore how thoughts and behaviors affect your feelings, and Trauma-Focused CBT to help process difficult experiences and build healthier ways of coping. Somatic approaches help us notice how stress and trauma show up in the body, while Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) helps you become more aware of thoughts and emotions without getting swept up in them. I also draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to identify strengths and practical steps toward change, and Motivational Interviewing to explore what matters to you and support your own motivation for growth. Whether we’re working individually, with a child or adolescent, or as a family, I’ll meet you with empathy while helping you explore new perspectives and change patterns that no longer serve you.

What you can expect from me

You can expect kindness, a lighthearted approach, and a little silliness alongside meaningful work. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping will change, and what you want me to understand about your experiences. We’ll begin identifying goals together and find an approach that feels right for you. You don’t have to have everything figured out before we start. I’m here to help you take the next step.
