Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm so glad you're here. Through my years as a clinician I have found that I have a passion for helping people live their most authentic and aligned lives. I received my graduate education at the University of Kansas before returning to Missouri and gaining experiences in variety of specialties. I have provided clinical care within hospitals, community mental health centers, schools, and one time, a tractor (Covid was a weird time for us all, indeed.) I also spent several years working with local law enforcement agencies as a crisis liaison. In my most recent experience, I specialized in play therapy for neurodivergent children and trauma treatment for adults. I will always, always have a special place in my heart for my play therapy population and although I am not accepting new play therapy clients at this time, I will continue to bring the same level of curiosity and excitement to my adult sessions. In my current practice I am looking to work virtually with adults that are looking to process past trauma, overcome burnout, and quiet an overactive nervous system. This is a safe space and ALL are welcome here!!

My approach to therapy

I have had the opportunity to treat many clients over the years and study many methods, but the most crucial aspect time and time again was the quality of the relationship, not the modality. I feel strongly that therapy is a place where you should feel seen and heard as well as challenged and respected. With my background in play therapy, I like to include aspects of joy, curiosity, and playfulness in sessions. I also believe that therapy often means more than just talking or the ability to recite your life history. I feel strongly that many of our symptoms live deep within the body and often require body-based interventions such as Brainspotting and mindfulness to better process and overcome.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we will spend time making sure you feel connected and understood. We will explore your health history and patterns of behavior to better understand your needs, and will work together to create a plan of treatment moving forward.
