Great to meet you!

Hi there! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). My approach to psychotherapy is based in collaboration with clients. My goal is to assist you in identifying the underlying causes of your current, or long term, distress and/or to manage current symptoms. I firmly believe that each of us possesses an inherent potential for healing & growth.

Throughout my career, I have worked in a wide variety of treatment settings - ranging from highly acute residential to outpatient. These experiences have allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the nuances of addiction, eating disorders and co-occurring disorders.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychotherapy is based in collaboration with clients. My goal is to assist you in identifying the underlying causes of your current, or long term, distress and/or to manage current symptoms. I firmly believe that each of us possesses an inherent potential for healing & growth. Clients in my caseload are individuals who seek connection, unconditional positive regard, empathy - and an appropriate dose of humor! - in their therapist. I specialize in eating disorders, substance use disorders and mental health disorders including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, mood disorders & PTSD.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be spent getting to know each other. We will discuss what is bringing you to therapy at this time, what has or hasn't worked for you in past therapeutic experiences (if you have had any) and setting goals for treatment. This initial session gives you the opportunity to determine if we are a good "fit."
