Great to meet you!

I work with adolescents and adults navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, academic or career-related stress, and relationship difficulties. I offer an environment grounded in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard—essential conditions for healing. From this foundation, I integrate evidence-based techniques to help you build healthy coping skills, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and support your emotional well-being in everyday life.

For clients who have experienced trauma or feel “stuck” in past experiences, I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support deeper healing and nervous system regulation.

My goal is to help you not only understand yourself more fully but also feel empowered to live in a way that reflects your values, strengths, and goals. My goal is to help you reconnect with your own voice, trust your inner experience, and move forward in a way that feels authentic and empowering. Whether you're navigating pain, uncertainty, or seeking personal growth, I’m here to support you in creating a path that aligns with who you truly are.

My approach to therapy

I take a whole-person approach to counseling, utilizing compassion, validation, and empowerment to help you harness your personal internal strengths and resources. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and it’s a privilege to walk with you as you reclaim your voice, your power, and your path forward.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel nervous or unsure. My goal in our first session is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and free to be yourself—without pressure or judgment.

Here’s what you can expect:

  1. A Warm Welcome We'll start by getting to know each other. I may ask a few questions about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any past counseling experiences you've had.
  2. Pacing at Your Comfort Level You’re always in control of what you share. There’s no rush to “dive in”—we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. If you're not ready to talk about certain things, that’s completely okay.
  3. Exploring Goals Together We'll begin to explore what you’d like to get out of therapy—whether that’s healing from past experiences, building coping skills, reducing anxiety or stress, or simply having a space to talk things through.
  4. Understanding the Process I’ll explain how therapy works, go over confidentiality, and answer any questions you have about the process, including approaches I may use when appropriate.
  5. Building a Connection Most importantly, the first session is about starting to build a trusting relationship. The foundation of effective therapy is feeling safe and accepted, and that’s my top priority.
