Great to meet you!

Being a human is complicated! You must be ready for something to change if you are here, and I am eager to guide you on that adventure. I work with those who yearn for a greater sense of purpose, belonging, stability, and more connection with themselves, their communities, and the Earth. If you are feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, lost, or unsure of how to navigate this chaotic and isolating world, you are not alone! I am here to reassure you that you belong here, and you are capable of finding more freedom to not only handle life, but to have fun with it!

With a master's degree in nature-based mental health counseling and a background in environmental science and permaculture, I have become certain that every living being deserves to be on this earth and to thrive. I have worked with a diverse range of clients across various age groups and backgrounds in community mental health, with elders and their family members around aging and end-of-life, and currently facilitate a nature-based intensive outpatient program in a hospital setting.

My greatest hope for the world is that we can all rest in the feeling of safety and inspiration that we belong, and this is what inspires me every day in my work as a therapist. Connecting with nature is a big part of my life, whether that means spending multiple days out in the deep wilderness, or just vibing with my pet lizards and houseplants before leaving home in the morning, I live my life with a constant acknowledgement that we evolved in and alongside nature, and that it has so much to teach us about resilience, grounding, and expression.

My approach to therapy

I support teens, adults, and elders to bring increased spaciousness and ease to life's challenges. Utilizing my training and experience with Internal Family Systems parts work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, body-centered approaches, and other modalities, we will work together to map out your inner landscape and build a toolbox to help you understand and engage with your emotions. These modalities expand on talk therapy using evidence-based methods to engage with trauma in the body on a deeper level that can bring about lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In session, I follow your lead, listening closely for areas of your experience that we can deepen, loosen up, and leave with a greater capacity to handle life. Working with me, you can expect to learn and practice coping skills for life stressors, to increase your sense of self-compassion and understanding, to feel more empowered along your journey of life, and to experience what it can look like to feel your feelings in a safe and trauma-informed way. If it feels right, we may even decide to meet out in nature for a session and learn what the wise beings of our area might have to teach you in the moment.
