Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated social-emotional counselor with a passion for helping individuals, couples, teens, and parents navigate life's challenges and transitions. Whether you are working through relationship concerns, parenting struggles, adolescent development, personal growth, or major life changes, I provide a supportive and collaborative environment where healing and growth can occur.

I enjoy helping young people build resilience, confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills that support long-term success. I also work with couples seeking to improve communication, strengthen connection, and navigate relationship difficulties with greater understanding and compassion.

In addition, I am committed to supporting individuals who are considering or undergoing plastic surgery or bariatric surgery. Major changes in appearance and health often involve significant emotional and psychological adjustments. I help clients explore body image concerns, manage expectations, strengthen self-esteem, and develop the emotional tools needed to navigate these life-changing decisions successfully.

My therapeutic approach is practical, engaging, and goal-oriented. I believe lasting change happens when insights are paired with action. I often incorporate homework, journaling, self-reflection exercises, and skill-building strategies to help clients apply what they learn in therapy to their everyday lives.

My goal is to empower clients to create meaningful change, improve their relationships, and develop greater confidence in themselves and their future.

My motto is: "When you make changes in yourself, you affect everyone around you."

My approach to therapy

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns through a compassionate, client-centered approach that recognizes each individual's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore challenges, develop insight, and create meaningful change.

My practice incorporates evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and person-centered therapy. These approaches help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, and develop practical coping skills for everyday life.

I believe that therapy is most effective when insight is combined with action. As part of the therapeutic process, I may incorporate homework assignments, journaling, self-reflection exercises, and skill-building activities to help clients apply what they learn in sessions to real-life situations.

My goal is to empower clients to overcome obstacles, build resilience, improve relationships, and achieve their personal goals while enhancing their overall emotional well-being and quality of life.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect During Your First Session

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and supported from the very beginning. I understand that you may be preparing to share very personal information, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard and respected.

During our first session, I will explain the structure and purpose of the intake process to help put you at ease. While therapy is a collaborative experience, I will guide the conversation and help identify the concerns, challenges, and goals that have brought you to counseling.

We will review important information, including informed consent, the limits of confidentiality, the risks and benefits of therapy, practice policies, and any telehealth guidelines and considerations. I will also gather relevant background information to gain a better understanding of your experiences and current needs.

The first session is also an opportunity for us to determine whether we are a good fit for working together. During the final portion of the appointment, you will have time to ask questions, discuss any concerns, and schedule future sessions if you choose to continue.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling informed, supported, and hopeful about the therapeutic process.
