I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. I am part of a military family and believe this has created unique experiences and perspectives that benefit those I work with. I have experience working with children, teens and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders including social anxiety and OCD. I also often work with those struggling with depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Trauma and Grief. I will provide psychoeducation throughout treatment that will encourage and empower you to develop strategies to make improvements in your life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidenced-based treatment modality that I most commonly use in combination with other treatment approaches as needed. For OCD, Exposure and Response Prevention is a common modality used. My approach is inviting and down-to-earth and I do my best to make my clients feel seen and heard. I will show compassion and meet you where you are while also challenging unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.

In my experience, the most progress comes from those that show up motivated for change. You can expect to set 2-3 treatment goals at your first appointment which will serve as a guide to our follow-up sessions. To help with accountability, at the end of each session I will challenge you to decide on something specific to focus on until your next appointment.
