Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Camelia Valadez, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to supporting adults and adolescents as they navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, relationship concerns, and grief.

I earned my Master of Science degree from Texas A&M International University and bring nearly 20 years of experience in education, including serving as a special education teacher and currently as a school counselor in San Antonio. In addition, I’ve worked as a therapist at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center for the past two years, providing care to individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is flexible and collaborative. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, person-centered practices, and strengths-based strategies, but I believe the best results come from tailoring the process to each client’s unique needs.

What you can expect from me

Clients describe me as compassionate, supportive, and encouraging. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and empowered to grow. Whether you’re seeking tools to manage anxiety, heal from loss, or strengthen your relationships, I’m here to walk with you on your journey.
