I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depression, trauma, Complex PTSD, loss & grief, self-esteem/motivation, relationship issues, self awareness/identity and family stresors. Over my 20 year career, I have worked with a multitude of clients with diffrent issues and diagnosis.

I have worked 15 years in the field of mental health. I have years of experience working as an assessment counselor, assisting clients with resources for the Office of the District Attorney in Louisiana. I also worked as the Mental Health Liason for a school district in Louisiana. I am currently employed by a school system in Texas as a Mental Health Clinician. I worked as a faith-based counselor in Louisiana for 15 years. I was selected as School Mental Health Provider of the year for 2021-2022 for the state of Louisiana.

I will work with you to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared with out judgement. As you grow throughout the therapeutic process, the modality of therapy or your needs may change. I am able and willing to adjust to your needs.

You are unique and the issues faced are not the same as anyone else's problems or needs. I am here to serve you as a listener, with empathy and understanding. I can provide guidance and be a sounding board for you. Helping others overcome and achieve is my purpose.

My approach to therapy

I believe we all, at times suffer with challenges in our lives as part of the human condition. There are times when we are stuck, overwhelmed and conflicted. Thoughts and feelings can burden us down and breed feelings of hopelessness and depression. Life's unexpected can leave us feeling anxious and exhausted.

As a therapist I practice from a place of understanding and grace, free of judgement. I want you to feel comfortable. I want you to feel heard and not alone. I am here on the healing journey with you. It wonderful you are taking the time to seek support.

As a therapist, I want to help you facilitate the changes set by you, the client. The goal is to develop healthy coping skills and gain new insights. Increasing emotional well-being and enhancing relationships with a healthier pattern of engagement. I help clients use acceptance and affirmation to heal. I help to empower clients to acknowledge and face vulnerabilities.
