Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Camilia Mendoza, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with over 25 years of experience. I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and am currently pursuing a PhD in Couples Therapy at National University, which I anticipate completing in Summer 2025. You can learn more about my work at https://rbfcounseling.com/.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining relational and strengths-based methodologies to include DBT, PCT, TFT, and CBT. My practice is grounded in spirituality and mindfulness, with a belief that healing occurs within a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship. I am dedicated to supporting LGBTQA individuals and those facing challenges with sexual addictions, including pornography, paraphilic disorders, and sexual intimacy issues.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, I emphasize the importance of fostering meaningful connections within the therapy room, which can promote healing and lead to more authentic relationships beyond it. I incorporate the healing power of prayer, humor, and genuine connection to support clients on their journey toward resilience and personal growth. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate past challenges and build a more empowered and fulfilling future.
