Great to meet you!

I earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, including a graduate certificate in Africana Studies, from Texas A&M University. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My clients are historically marginalized and high achieving folks who want to work through anxiety, depression, stress management, boundary setting, and identity exploration. We will take inventory of the individual, cultural, and societal factors that contribute to your distress.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I like to frame the healing journey in terms of present, past, and future- what isn't working right now, how did you get here, and where do you want to be instead. I hold a warm, relatable, and empowering space where you are free to dream and create the space for your authentic self to shine through. My goal is for you to release the expectations of others and reclaim your true self-then begin to show up as that person as much as possible.

What you can expect from our first session

I aim for symptom relief and an understanding of how you came to feel that way in the first place. I help you to understand how to use the tools learned in session to continue liberating yourself long after our work together is done. Each session you will receive a thoughtful, collaborative, and creative "assignment" that will increase your insight and build the roadmap back to your unapologetic identity.
