Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm Camille Broom and I'm so glad you're here. Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, and finding someone you feel comfortable talking to is important.

With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in providing individual counseling to adults ages 25 and older. I help clients navigate life's challenges, whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed. My goal is to provide a welcoming space where you feel heard, understood and supported.

I recognize that everyone has a unique story, and I approach counseling with compassion, understanding, and respect for your individual experiences.

Through our work together, I hope to help you gain clarity, develop confidence in yourself, and discover meaningful ways to move forward.

Therapy is about more than working through life's challenges. It's an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, recognize patterns that may be holding you back, and discover new ways to create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful change begins when we feel safe enough to be ourselves.

My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing.

Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, I take time to understand your experiences, challenges, and goals. While I believe feeling heard and understood is an important part of counseling, personal growth sometimes requires us to examine our thoughts, consider different perspectives, and challenge patterns that may be keeping us stuck. Through thoughtful questions and honest conversations, I'll help you develop greater self-awareness and discover healthier ways of moving forward.

I strive to create an environment where you can speak openly, gain insight and feel empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace.

My role isn't to tell you how to live your life. It's to walk alongside you as you discover what healing, growth, and meaningful change look like for you.

I respect the unique values, beliefs and experiences each person brings to counseling. For clients who desire it, I also welcome the opportunity to incorporate their Christian faith in the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust and understanding. I'll take the time to learn about what brings you to counseling, the challenges you may be experiencing and what you hope to gain from our work together.

I understand that opening up to someone new can feel uncomfortable. You are welcome to share at your own pace, and there is no expectation that you have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin.

I value honest and direct communication. My approach balances compassion with thoughtful, straightforward conversations. While our first session will focus primarily on getting to know you and understanding your experiences, we will also begin exploring your concerns, identifying your goals, and discussing how counseling can best support your individual needs.

My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, supported and encouraged about the steps ahead.
